Affectionately known to his friends and family as Benzie, this page is dedicated to a free spirited adventurer who lived his life to the full. Benzie was a true friend to so many and he will be remembered with such fondness and missed so terribly much. 

Benzie passed away peacefully on Tuesday 27, October at 2.45 and in the comfort of his own home in Tiverton, Devon, with his beloved wife, Sallie by his side. 

A passionate, naturally gifted sportsman, Benzie hated to lose and was fiercely competitive. Anyone who had the good fortune to enjoy a game of golf, cricket, tennis or ski with Andy will remember the love he had for sport, always pushing the boundaries, and remember how much he made us all laugh.  Benzie did not do things by half, his glass was always half-full and he strived for much more than mediocrity in everything he did. He lived his life in an unconventional way and he will be remembered always for 'giving-it-a-go' like he used to say 'it might not be a good idea . . . . but let's do it anyway'     

His adventures, stories, mischief, passion, friendship and love will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
